However, the full potential can only be achieved by implementing initiatives, setting clear goals, metrics and reporting mechanisms so as to provide a basis for action and continuous improvements. We have started recycling used printers and toners- cartridges and implemented software to monitor and reduce the amount of papers printing and copying. The Front Office and Finance departments have implemented an Efficiency & Sustainability Programme. A programme focusing on identifying administrative and control processes to redesign and enhance the efficiency with the development of technology E-procedures implementation to reduce significantly the paper used. By implementing this initiative, the Hala Arjaan hotel in UAE has cut its paper consumption by 50% in the first month. Beside, other practices implemented by different departments has helped to reduce printing, copying and paper consumption.
