TAROT Programme TAROT is Rotana’s 18 months fast track development programme for high potential people. The programme covers all the necessary areas needed for a future managerial role with Rotana. The plan focuses on the development of the competencies, technical skills as well as the way to manage people. Total Training Hours: 1,632,663 Average Hours of Training per Colleague: 237 Number of Promotions: 1084 LEAD development programme Rotana launched General Manager Development Programme, LEAD, that aimed at improving their skill sets to ‘stay in the competitive market’. This was held at a Development Centre, which we regard as one of the most accurate and valid tools for the identification of development needs. It utilises a range of job simulations, ability tests and personality questionnaires, which reflect the essential behavioral elements of the role. The process is based on a standardised process to drive objectivity and fairness and is widely regarded as one of the most accurate and valid procedures of determining an individual’s strengths and development areas. Development Internship Programme Rotana offers three to six months Internship to students from recognised colleges and universities with direct coaching and competencies development. Development Developing our colleagues and talents is a central component of our learning and development strategy. We offer an array of learning opportunities for colleagues across the company. Among the many different programmes Rotana has established to develop for our people, we have launched two strategic programmes, committed to nurturing and developing our colleagues and talent. These are only one part of the development equation that feeds into our succession development plan. TAROT – a fast track management training programme LEAD – aimed at our existing talent within the company Promotion and Inter-company Transfer To demonstrate the company’s commitment to career development, the Promotion and Inter-company Transfer policies reward high performing colleagues by promoting them or transferring them to other Rotana properties thereby retaining knowledge and skills within the company. In the process, we motivate and encourage colleagues to participate in their own self development and strengthen the image of Rotana as a preferred employer. A minimum notice period of one month is given to colleagues before an approved inter-property transfer is done.
